Our principles

How we source stories

We start with trusted, public sources — PubMed and the NIH, the FDA, ClinicalTrials.gov, WHO, and reputable university and hospital research — and we link to the original source on every article. We label how strong the evidence is, so a hopeful headline never outruns the science.

How we use AI

We use AI to help draft plain-language summaries, headlines, and tags from source material. AI never publishes on its own: a human editor reviews every medical story before it goes live, checks the claims against the source, and flags anything sensitive or overhyped.

AI assistance is used to improve readability, not to create unsupported medical claims. Articles should not be read as treatment recommendations, promises of benefit, or claims that a therapy is safe or effective beyond what the cited source supports.

Editorial policy

Our editorial workflow is designed to separate source material, AI-assisted drafting, human review, and advertising. Editors review each article for source attribution, plain-language accuracy, evidence level, sensitive mental-health risks, and whether the headline or summary could overstate the finding. We prefer primary sources, public agency updates, peer-reviewed journals, university or hospital research offices, and reputable medical news sources that link back to the underlying work.

We do not publish unsupported treatment claims, miracle-cure language, diagnosis advice, or instructions that could increase risk in a crisis. When evidence is early, animal-only, observational, or not yet approved for clinical use, the article should say so in ordinary language.

Advertising and independence

Advertising may appear on the site. Ads help support the publication, but advertisers do not control our editorial judgments, source selection, article summaries, or evidence labels. Sponsored content is labeled when it appears.

Not medical advice

Joi Frontier Health News is for information and encouragement. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Please talk with a qualified healthcare professional about your own health. If you are in crisis or thinking about self-harm, contact your local emergency or crisis line right away.

Corrections

We correct factual errors promptly after review. When a correction materially changes an article, we update the article text, preserve the original source link, and may add correction context in the article or metadata. Minor wording, spelling, formatting, or translation fixes may be updated without a separate correction note. To reach the editors, email news@szupia.net.
